Conditions

  • Amount: from ⟨1,000⟩ to ⟨5,000⟩ € ⟨to be confirmed⟩

  • Term: up to 12 months

  • Interest: 0%. APR: 0%

  • Fees and charges: none

Instalments: monthly and equal, except for the final one, which is adjusted to make up the exact amount

  • Payment method: direct debit via SEPA mandate

  • Early repayment: full or partial, at any time and free of charge

How are the instalments calculated?

The first eleven instalments are set as whole euros, with no cents. The twelfth instalment makes up the difference so that the total matches the quote exactly.

Example: Refractive surgery with a quote of €3,000, VAT-exempt: twelve monthly instalments of €250. Total payable: €3,000, with no interest or fees. APR 0%.

If the quote were €3,150, the first eleven instalments would be €262 and the twelfth would be €268.

Refractive surgery: a special service offered by the INOF Centre

The correction of short-sightedness, long-sightedness and astigmatism is the procedure most frequently requested by our younger patients, and it is also one where the main hurdle is not usually the decision itself, but rather the timing: it is typically considered between the ages of twenty and thirty-five, when the prescription has already stabilised but patients have not yet built up sufficient savings.

That is why the INOF Centre has chosen to make this the first procedure for which this payment facility is available, and to offer it on the same terms as all others: interest-free, with no fees and no additional costs.

  • This is a procedure carried out for therapeutic purposes: it corrects a refractive error, which is a functional disorder of the eye and not a cosmetic issue.
  • It is VAT-exempt. The quoted price is the final price.
  • Payment can be deferred for up to twelve months, with no interest or fees. APR 0%.
  • You must be of legal age and have passed the ophthalmological suitability assessment, which includes confirmation that your prescription is stable.

The postponement is not a reason to have the operation. Refractive surgery is an elective procedure: you can choose not to have it, or to have it at a later date, and your vision will continue to be corrected with glasses or contact lenses. The ophthalmological assessment determines whether you are a suitable candidate, and that assessment is independent of how you intend to pay.

What documentation is required?

In order to defer payment, we need to check that the repayment schedule is manageable. We will ask you for:

  • Identity document of the person making the payment
  • Proof of recent income: your last two payslips, your latest tax return or, if you are self-employed, your last two quarterly tax returns
  • Bank account number for the direct debit
  • If a family member is taking on the payment, their details and their signature as a joint and several guarantor for the payment.

You may redact any information from the documents you provide other than your identity and the amount of your income. We do not keep copies of the supporting documents once the deferral has been approved: we simply record that they have been verified.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will I be charged interest or any fees?

No. You will pay exactly the amount quoted, spread over instalments. There is no interest, no arrangement fee, no assessment charges and no associated insurance.

Is a bank or a finance company involved?

No. The payment plan is granted directly by the clinic. You will not sign any contract with a third party, nor will your details be passed on to any financial institution.

Does the payment plan affect my treatment?

Not at all. The medical advice and care you receive are independent of the payment method. If the payment plan is not approved, your treatment will still be explained to you and offered as normal.

What happens if I miss a payment?

We will notify you and you will be able to settle the outstanding amount. If two instalments remain unpaid and you do not respond to our reminder within fifteen days, the outstanding balance will become due in full. In that case, statutory interest will apply, along with a one-off administration fee of €15.

Can I pay it off early?

Yes, at any time, in full or in part, and at no extra cost. You simply need to let us know.

Can I pay for the procedure in another way?

Yes. Deferred payment is one option, but not the only one. You can pay the full amount before the procedure or ask us about other payment methods.

How to apply

You can apply via patient services, by telephone or via WhatsApp on +34 640 310 733, or by emailing atencionalpaciente@inof.es.
